Find Your Flow

A regular article by Jenny Keenan from Living Synergy

Firstly I would like to say a big well done to Rae for creating this beautiful website and offering such a wonderful resource to the world.  For all who know and love Rae, she is an amazing woman with a big, wide, warm heart of gold.  I wish her all the best in her new adventure.

I would also like to thank Rae for giving me the opportunity to contribute a snap shot of my world.  I am delighted to be here and look forward to sharing with you over the coming months and years.

My life has taken me on quite a journey, both externally and internally.  From this, the inspiration for Living Synergy was born and is slowly but surely coming to life.  In my articles here at Fishica, I would like to help expand your awareness to experience a deeper sense of who you truly are … from the inside out.  As well as provide the foundations to naturally support this alignment and integration in your daily life.

One of the main things to appreciate is that this is a journey in itself. Life will unfold a unique path for each and every one of us.  I would like to encourage you to ‘go where there is no path and leave a trail’.  Find out for yourself what deeply nourishes and nurtures you to be and enjoy all that you are.

Although I will be offering ideas for healthful living, I would like to make it clear that one of the most simple and important foundations for your health is to listen to your own inner guidance and do what feels right for you at the time.  This brings your attention back to the core of your being and your natural and abundant life force itself.  This is free, simple and available twenty four seven.  All other things that you can ‘do’ to make yourself healthy are basically to connect your awareness and attention back in this direction.  To awaken and experience what you naturally already are.

It then becomes not so much ‘doing’ anything, but rather ‘being’ yourself.  Your health is already inside you and it is more about stopping doing the things that are not allowing this to thrive, or that which does not resonate with you.  When you live in this way, you will find your flow will naturally surface and will go about making all the transformations that are required to restore balance on all levels.  This will have a natural course and will happen in natural timing.

As you surrender and let go, true and deep transformation will occur.  It won’t necessarily be easy, and at times can be challenging and require great courage and patience.  To step out of mainstream and think for yourself requires you to take responsibility for your own health and life.  Again, this is one of the foundations of true health and is a process of transformation and deconditioning in itself.

In becoming more conscious and aware of what future we are creating for the generations to come, we need to think about what legacy we want to leave behind us in terms of beliefs and ideas about health. Is it enough to be free of a life threatening disease to be considered healthy? And what if we require drugs to be disease free?  Is that still considered peak health?  Are we really living our true potential in all ways?

We will have the greatest impact on the lives of the younger ones by what we do and what potential we open them up to realising.  Far more than anything we may say, or how much money we may leave for them.  It is my passion to explore and open up what is possible.  To play, question, inspire and let’s see who we really are and what we are capable of in relation to health and living with ease as opposed to dis-ease.

I enjoy living a lifestyle including raw foods, juicing, yoga, meditation, and massage.  With plenty of sunshine, swimming at the beach, fresh air, good water, quality relationships and generally just being me and doing what I love and what comes naturally to me.

In the articles to follow I will share what I have discovered along the way and what continues to evolve for me.

To start with, one of simplest things you can include in your diet to restore, rebuild and support your body to find balance, is start your day with a green juice.  Greens are so health giving, but can often be hard for people to digest if they are not used to them.  Juicing is the perfect way to get round this.

A good simple recipe for green juice and a good place to start …

Cucumber and/or celery make a nice juicy base

To add some sweetness try apple and/or pear or any other fruit

Then add as much greens as your tastes can handle.  Dark leafy greens are great, like silverbeet, kale or what ever else you fancy.  Also try herbs like parsley, mint and coriander.

Lemon is another great addition and ginger can add a bite too.

Don’t be afraid to experiment.  You never know what yummyness you will come up with!  Over time you will develop more of a taste for greens and can include more in your juice and diet generally.

Remember, juicing is a great way to get greens into the kids.  If you start them out early, you will be laying solid foundations for them to maintain a taste for greens as they grow.  They are also very balancing and calming, so can make life with kids easier too!

Your body has an amazing self healing ability and green juices are a simple way to nourish and support yourself on a cellular level and allow your body to do what it is trying to do to restore balance.
